The example vehicle selection looks pretty outdated. I don’t see any SUVs, CUVs or pickups.

It’s a Ford dealership pre-April 2018

I guess it’s technically not a mass transit station anymore.

Don’t worry Ford will save it and kill affordable cars as a sacrifice to do so.
Also, is this where there was a big robot fight in one of the 17 Transformers movies?

It’s an interesting phenomenon. In the western country that:
has a population that is the least likely to have been abroad
has by far the largest population and thus economy
has by far the largest army
has by far the largest land mass
they are also the most likely to be extremely nationalistic/flag wavers. Why this difference to others?
The flag waving in the US is odd to me. People there are the least likely (among westerners) to have experienced other countries so they are also relatively ignorant about other countries. The US is also by far the largest western country, which isn’t an achievement (of the current population) but just a given. So why are Americans so desperate to show off how nationalistic they are? And to who are they showing this off too?
As an outsider it almost looks like insecurity, although I don’t think it is.
Extreme flag waving nationalism makes me cringe. I’ve heard too many stories from my grandfather (b. 1925) and know too much of early-mid 20th century history to ignore it.

It’s funny coz it’s true.
I know of a time when Germans were a little too patriotic, but anyway...

You shouls stop wearing Lederhosen. They are already mistaking you for a German.

My grandmother’s grandfather was a German and she has the last name to prove it. Besides, I’m like a West-West-German lost in Bavaria .

No national pride for me thanks. I’d be ok if people assumed I’m not American. I would like to become an expat. But they make it difficult and extremely expensive. And no one wants us now. But you can’t blame them.

Nothing wrong with some national pride, as long as it’s not blind pride.
I’m an expat too. But being an EU citizen it made it easy for me to move within the EU, despite the language barrier.

There are things I appreciate about America. But as time passes and our culture evolves, the bad seems to outweigh a lot of the good. Definitely still not a bad place to live, but it could be much much better.

Duning Kruger effect in regards to history, world events and modern international relations.
